What Happens During Your Test

Understanding Your Test Results

Pass Result

If your vehicle meets all requirements:

  • Immediate test pass certificate
  • Certificate of Roadworthiness (CRW) issued
  • Valid for commercial vehicle operation
  • Digital copy sent to registered owner


Minor Defects


When minor issues are found:

  • “Pass pending recheck” status
  • List of minor defects provided
  • No additional test fee for recheck
  • Must verify repairs at same center
  • No strict timeline for recheck

Failed Test


If major defects are identified:

  • Detailed failure report provided
  • 21 days to complete repairs
  • Retest at same testing center
  • Reduced fee for retest
  • Travel limit of 4,000km before retest
