What Happens During Your Test
Our experienced inspectors follow a systematic approach to assess your vehicle’s roadworthiness. A typical inspection takes 60-90 minutes and includes:
Visual Inspection
- Exterior lights and markings
- Windscreen and mirrors
- Tire condition and tread depth
- Body structure and chassis
- Registration plates and markings
Technical Testing
- Brake performance measurement
- Suspension analysis
- Emissions testing
- Steering alignment check
- Electrical systems verification
Understanding Your Test Results
Pass Result
If your vehicle meets all requirements:
- Immediate test pass certificate
- Certificate of Roadworthiness (CRW) issued
- Valid for commercial vehicle operation
- Digital copy sent to registered owner
Minor Defects
When minor issues are found:
- “Pass pending recheck” status
- List of minor defects provided
- No additional test fee for recheck
- Must verify repairs at same center
- No strict timeline for recheck
Failed Test
If major defects are identified:
- Detailed failure report provided
- 21 days to complete repairs
- Retest at same testing center
- Reduced fee for retest
- Travel limit of 4,000km before retest
